Cloud migration

Move to AWS without taking your platform offline

We move live applications to AWS from Azure or from your own servers. The new platform is built in code and tested next to the old one, and the switch is rehearsed before the day, so your customers keep working while it happens.

tobook

Moving a live booking platform to AWS, without a minute offline

tobook's booking platform had grown up on Azure. We rebuilt its hosting on AWS, in code, and moved it across while bookings kept arriving.

  • Zero

    downtime during the move

  • 0.00%

server errors on the booking app in the 90 days to 23 September 2026

  • One command

    rebuilds the entire platform

Who it's for

Who we build this for

  • Companies on Azure that want to consolidate on AWS
  • Teams running ageing or on-premises servers
  • Platforms taking orders or bookings around the clock, with no window for an outage
  • Businesses whose hosting was set up years ago and never written down

Problems we solve

What's getting in your way, and how we fix it

  • Nobody knows everything that's running

We document every service, scheduled job, credential and DNS record on the current platform before anything moves, so nothing is left behind.

  • No safe window for downtime

The new platform runs alongside the old one and is tested with real traffic patterns before the switch, so customers carry on as normal.

  • A switch that only happens once

We rehearse the cutover in advance and write down every step and its timing, so the day itself follows a plan we have already run.

  • Hosting that can't be rebuilt

Everything on AWS is defined in code, so the platform can be rebuilt, copied for staging or handed to another team at any time.

How we work

Four steps from first call to launch

You sign off on scope and price before we start, then see working progress every week.

Our process in detail
  1. Step 1

    Discover

We learn your business, users and goals, then agree on scope, budget and what success looks like, in writing.

    1 to 2 weeks

  2. Step 2

    Design

We map the user flows and design the interface, and you sign off on a clickable prototype before production code starts.

    1 to 4 weeks

  3. Step 3

    Build

We build in short cycles and give you a live preview link from the first week, so you can follow progress.

    3 to 12 weeks

  4. Step 4

    Launch and support

We handle the launch, monitoring and handover, then stay on to host, support and improve what we built if you want us to.

Questions

Cloud migration questions

Something else on your mind? Email hello@hatcha.com.

Will there be any downtime?

We plan for none. The new platform is running and tested before traffic moves, and the switch itself is rehearsed. When we moved tobook from Azure to AWS, bookings kept arriving throughout the cutover.

How do you move the database without losing data?

We copy the data ahead of time, check it and keep the new copy in step with the old one until the switch. The exact method depends on your database and how much it changes, and we agree it during the review.

Do we have to change our application code?

Usually very little. Most of the work is in configuration, such as connection strings, storage and environment settings. Anything bigger comes out of the review before we quote.

Where does the new AWS account sit?

We set it up as a separate account inside our AWS organisation. Your data stays apart from other clients' and from ours, and the account can be detached from our organisation if you ever need it to be.

What happens after the move?

We stay on to support the platform. Most clients move to a monthly hosting retainer, or we hand everything over to your own team with the code and documentation.
